Chris Wood qualifies for The British Open

Fantastic news
- Chris Wood (Long Ashton) has today qualified for the Open Championship next week at Royal Birkdale He shot 71 / 72 to finish on 1 under par, finishing in a tie for second place at Hillside in final qualifying.
Chris is an example to all with the hard work and dedication he has put in over the past years, nobody deserves this opportunity more.We are all so proud of what he has achieved and wish him all the best (and his father who will be caddying) next week.
Hopefully their will be many familiar Gloucestershire faces there next week to cheer him on.

Go woody go!

If this wasn't enough he is also in 7th place in the World Amateur rankings.
